Terms of Service

1. The Service

ConvertHub provides file conversion and PDF editing tools that run in your browser. The free tier requires no account or sign-up. Pro and the Day Pass add batch processing, larger file-size limits, and synced signatures, billed as described on the pricing page.

2. Your files and content

You retain all rights to the files you convert or edit. ConvertHub does not claim any ownership over your content, and — per our Privacy Policy — never receives a copy of it in the first place, aside from the single disclosed exception (a DOI lookup for PDF citation extraction).

You're responsible for having the right to convert, edit, or sign any file you process with the Service, and for complying with applicable law regarding its contents.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining access to the email address used to sign in, since sign-in is passwordless. Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the interval and price shown at purchase until cancelled. The Day Pass is a one-time payment for 24 hours of Pro access starting from activation, with no renewal. You can cancel a subscription at any time from Plan & billing; access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Process files you don't have the legal right to handle;
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or reverse-engineer the Service's security or licensing;
• Use the Service to build a directly competing product from its source;
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other users' access to it.

6. The browser extension

The extension is provided under these same terms. Uninstalling it at any time removes its access; it requests only the permissions described on its listing and in the Privacy Policy.

7. Service availability

The Service is provided “as is.” Because processing happens in your own browser, most tools continue to work offline once loaded, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, account services, or the conversion-engine downloads.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConvertHub is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data processed through the tools. Because files are processed locally and never held by us, we strongly recommend keeping your own backups before performing a destructive operation (e.g. overwriting a file).

9. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update these terms or the Service over time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the date above and, for signed-in users, flagged at next sign-in.

10. Refunds

Pro and Day Pass purchases are covered by our Refund Policy.
